Electric Tales

This is the initial draft or what writers may call “the preamble” as at now am in a village or what Burkina-be will call a town surname sabce, truly this is a crazy experience for me, the people are warm, but closed; in time you will understand what I mean by warm & closed. Burkina faso is the 4^th country, I have so-journeyed in, beautiful people, beautiful hearts, beautiful smiles, young and untapped minds, scared of the wild, more of a fixed mindset than a global or growth mindset; scared to challenge the status quo, don’t forget the beautiful and peaceful aspects of this nation, a unique country bordered by 6 other countries, am still here so ama keep this tab open, am sure I won’t lack more exciting info to blow your mind. (this piece maybe referred as structural or objective or people focused, however you consider this, just enjoy). In 2010, last week of march to be exact i tried for Cameron, I don’t know how to let you into that part of my mind, with out looking like a complete douche and racist, so lets not use words like bad or hate or experience, lets just say am yet to have a fill of tis country filled with awesome, determined and muscular people (yea that would be this October); maybe after visiting and attending on of the most dynamic and powerful networking conference organised and hosted by AIESEC West Africa and AIESEC in cameroun respectively.

Niger Republic would be next, for sure a charming country, if I allow childhood perception have its way, I may never shake hands with a Nigerien; thank God for Media, if there plan is to scare people like me from countries like Niger, they probably need to up there game or work harder, of course Niger is among the first 5 countries I want to re-visit, they are warm and ready to be your host; they are not terrorist or victims or war or genocide, they don’t to convert you to a Muslim, they are cool and they are not boko haram.  I remember that evening, when I sat and admired the pragmatic approach they applied for living purposes, the aura of hope that never seized soothening the ultra-violent  rays of the sun; looking into their eyes, you can’t help but behold the glittering smile more expensive than rubis or choice silver, those you find on a swiss banks’ vault; that evening I made a resolve to sleep a night or more in every African countries; before am 30. 

This is what happens to you when you visit Niger Republic with an open mind and no stereotypes. I have to tell you, I never liked Ghana, cant exactly say why; maybe because of the stories we were told of how Ghanaians flooded my origin country, taking and giving cheap labour, which translated to a massive decline in jobs for my fellow countrymen, it was a pretty big mess and they were forced out of my country, sad tale huh? Also maybe its because of the fact that Ghana remains a big competition to us, first in soccer, now in everything except politics, ignorance & music. 

Just Give Me Any Job

Have you said the above to anyone or heard anyone voice the demand?  A lot of young people make the mistake of not differentiating between building a career and getting a job. Let us examine an on – line dictionary to establish the difference between the two.
A career is an occupation or profession, especially one requiring special training, followed as one’s life work, a person’s progress or general course of action through life or a phase of life, as in some profession or undertaking. The word was originally used in the 16th century to indicate a running course of a horse or a race course. The sense of it being the course of a working life did not start until the early 19th century. Pursuing a career is a process, like running a course. On the other hand, a job is a post of employment, full- time or part –time. A job is short term, whereas a career is long term.

The problem with a lot of young people is that they take short term decisions of securing a job, any job for that matter and leave long term decisions of their career to chance. It’s what I call survival or poverty mentality and will not serve much. The world has changed irreparably since the advent of the internet and the way of careers has changed with it. You cannot continue to shoot in the dark and take any job, just any job for survival. No matter the scale, we need to make strategic, well informed choices that will affect our career plan. Your career is for the long haul and you shouldn’t decide on the exigency of today. For instance you should ask yourself,   where you will want to be in the next ten years in your career and take little steps in that direction not just any job.

We need to cultivate big picture thinking. Your career is a process, a journey, with many jobs as the landmark. You need to have an idea of where you are going ultimately. It’s been said that success is a journey and not a destination but you need to have a destination in mind. There’s no point turning off to the Benin – Ore road on the Lagos – Ibadan expressway when your destination is Ibadan. To extend the allegory, there’s no point hopping on a bus to Benin just because you are tired of staying at the bus stop when you are actually going to Ibadan.

Trust as Earth

Truth is I have been itching to write on this topic, for a century now; just a handful of people out of the over 7 billion souls that walk the earth today are worried about who to trust, when to trust, what to trust, how to and not to trust, why trust at all or why not trust; so what is the question, what is trust?, How to trust or Why Trust, I don’t know if I’ll be able to do justice to these definitions, like I have always known, Man is complex, so delicate matters as this that relates with man since conception are hard to give a definite or indefinite definition; (pardon my French). So far for me, when I believe in someone and his capacity to make due his promise without doubt or worry or fear; I begin to have a feeling that I trust; but is this the meaning of trust? Please not bore ourselves and waste taxpayers money with definitions. 

Why trust, is what I really want us to talk about; the first time you flew with any airline, I can bet was a serious test of trust for you; I can say without any ounce of doubt that you believed completely in the ability of that airline to take you to your destinations; your thoughts were focused on the destination, you looked forward to enjoying the trip; maybe that was trust, lets rewind back to conception stage or when your mum conceived you; imagine how peaceful you were, health wise, as a matter of fact everything wise, no matter the trouble on the outside, there was peace on the inside, you had only one goal you were looking forward to, finishing your time and coming out. Truth is, that peace you had was made possible because of trust; now you are out (I know this because you are reading this paper does that mean that what worked on the inside can’t work on the outside? This is food for thought; I know you probably have a thousand and one reasons not to trust anymore, you probably have a thousand and one reason not to trust anymore, no matter what your story is, trust is that bitter pill or sunshine that will make it beautiful. So just the same way you navigate from this page after reading this piece and you trust that the internet or computer will obey your command, also trust everyone you meet or come in contact with; this is beautiful; if you still have doubts about people listen to chimamanda’s speech on ‘danger of a single story’  if you have doubts on life, read the bible (proverbs and john gospel) or Cohbams sppech on “life lessons” TED x, as the earth remains, trust is inevitable. 

Jennifer Phillips, Michigan USA; 2014 argues that there is different levels of trust, its believing in high quality, she says that trust must be earned in any relationship; Mayeloye Esther, Benin republic; 2014 argues that trust is the highest level of believe. They both believe that trust is at different levels and for different scenarios, but one thing that is most important is that experience is the foundation of trust, and without experience we cannot trust completely or at all, we may have expectations set, they maybe high or low. I kind of agree with them on this, we must trust, we want to trust but we want to have a reason to trust, so this makes us extremely cautious of the people around us until they probable deliver on one or two promise they give to us, then we begin to trust, then it’s at different levels and as the relationship become stronger, the trust goes deeper; however if you ask me, this is true but there are questions that are begging for attention, questions like what if and this is a very big if, am now assured that you would not break the trust I have for you after maybe some experience I have had with you in the past and here comes a situation that probably test the trust I have for you and you fail me, what then should I do, should I overlook the fact that there is a reason and a valid reason at that for you to break my trust for you and punish you for that? Or should I let it go and call it a mistake. What if you don’t even deserve my trust, what if it’s all a show? What if all the time you have been acting up, just trying to gain my trust so that you can take advantage of that trust? So you will agree with me that there are questions and loop holes; so what more can I say? Trust is essential for our lives, it goes a long way to determine how much we get out of people we know and are around us. What is your say about TRUST?

I swear

Please don’t say no, I love you, am in love with you, am crazy about you; since the first day I saw you, life itself tasted different, everything you do amazed me in such a beautiful way. I could not but always think about you, even as I traveled abroad, I thought of you daily,  days of which I was required to stay and act like am happy seemed like a million days to me, due to the fact that I had quite a number of complains and problems, I still could not help but be happy that I was gonna come back and see the smile on your face, I don’t know why am writing this, maybe because I don’t want you to threaten the feelings you have for me or go ahead to kill it, maybe because, I don’t know what to do with myself if you stop loving me, I have never met anyone as you in my life, if I continue to spell out the exceptional ingredients that reflects your person, we may -not brush our teeth till Sunday next week or skip dinner today. 

I am just passionate, just a guy with energy, likes to laugh, joke, love, pray, work, dance, sing, travel, help people etc, am just a guy who wants to hold you close to me every day and try to explain anything you want or need, my hands may always want to magnate your body, but that’s because the output of your hearts reflects gem stones in fluids compartments of ideas and wisdom; am just that guy that gets challenged at the magnanimity of your muscles, both intellectually and morally. 

I swear to you, which I don’t do so often, I love you and I don’t have enough words as per vocabularies to express this feeling, this is probably the reason why I write. maybe a story about me in the past would help to convince you, but that would be talking to propagate my message or desire;  you mean so much to me, so I make this pledge, I will do or be the person you want me to be. 

Laziness INSIDE OUT: Part 2

Look around you, am sure you will find someone who was doing fine in the past; he/she probably had everything one could possibly desire or strives for, but today he/she is squalor; my fellow country will say “I get am before. No mean say na your own” so the fact that you have a Ferrari in the past, doesn't give you a permanent rich man status. If you are broke people especially mine will smell it, they will try to confirm one cunning way or the other. My friends at Hollywood CIA will say “you've been made” hahahaha but the bottom line here is that you were once rich, now you are not; the reason cannot be too far from laziness, if not laziness itself. OK let’s work this out, what could have possible gone wrong? Is it luck? Am sorry to burst your bubbles, there is no such thing as luck, is it God? Guess what, God is too busy (blessing people) to strip you of your wealth, his blessings are permanent; is it the person in question? That may be the right question, you know a lot of folks don’t like to see themselves as the problem that needs fixing, they blame their failures or mis-fortune on other factors and persons; in other words they make excuses (and this is one way to remain comfortable in failure).  

Life is spiritual, believe it or not. Everything that happens here on earth is controlled or permitted in the spiritual; nothing just happens, there is a cause for everything and every action has an equal and opposite reaction. They once told us that, its much more easy to get to the top, than to remain there. So Mr.  Xyz, who is rich or wealthy, gives in to laziness by fist resting before getting tired, so this gives him liberty to procrastinate, of course it’s no big deal, he says “oh don’t worry I will send the letter tomorrow” … “I will do it tomorrow” now it’s six months down the line, after that day and his competition is overshadowing him and probably throwing him the market; now he is angry, frustrated, he fires someone (excuses sets in) you now catch  him blaming (either its someone or something) ; very funny huh? I guess the lesson here is that procrastination can drag you to square one and excuses ensure you remain there. What more is there to say that we don’t over-flog this issue; quit being Lazy today, its healthy.

LAZINESS

He that will not work, let him not eat; this is a popular saying, a lot of people know this and can recite it from backwards; but how come it’s not a watchword; how come it has become a life-style; even society and technology in many ways promotes and advocates it, invents new tools and materials to facilitate Laziness. However let’s take a closer look at this issue. Let’s start by examine some views, then we come to the basic meaning and terms; after which we consider if it’s something we should look forward to have or discard; and maybe talk some more about it.

A life of leisure and a life of laziness are two things. There will be sleeping enough in the grave.

Ok this is quite amazing listening to this guys; I hope you don’t expect me to start off by defining what laziness is; if you are, I hope you won’t be mad If I don’t;  you can look up www.wikipedia.com ; it could give you an updated version of what laziness is; however Jules Renard said some words that are striking, ..”Laziness is nothing more…” that means laziness cannot be far-fetch from this. He argues that it’s a HABIT, it’s a way of life, something that happen spontaneously, something that happens without the permission of the conscious of the individual; it’s kind of a default system in the person, Wow! This is serious already. He goes on to say that laziness is the HABIT of RESTING before you get tired; wow this is quite familiar to me and am sure it’s not alien to you, so Renard is telling me that when I want to rest before am even tired then am lazy already. So he is trying to say that the only time you rest is when you are tired, so he is not against resting, but he thinks that when rest comes before tiredness, then you are lazy; so what is rest, is rest meaning sleep? Is rest meaning siting down on the couch for the last four hours doing stuff that is un-productive (with no ability to add value whatsoever to your live) like playing poker or chatting or watching movies or sleeping or complaining about how life or some substances are not coming forth, gossiping or hanging out with friends; a renowned preacher said and I quite agree with him that the sleep of the laborer is sweet; so there is no escaping it whether you are sophisticated or not, you must labor or pay someone to do it for you. He went further to say that nothing can be done without a doer, nothing can work without a worker; so you must work the work whether now or later. Pastor Terry (Gospel pillars Church, Abuja) said something that I can’t forget, he said that there is structure or pattern for mankind as far as working and earning is, from age 0 – 30  is a period of learning, don’t get me wrong it’s a standard, by age 30 you should have learnt all you need to live the next phase of your life; from age 30 – 60 you should earn, it’s a period for you to earn, you should not be trying to earn at 61, why? Because from age 60 – above you should Yearn, this is time for you to wake in the morning, pick up the newspaper after you had said your prayers (which was filled with gratitude to God for a fulfilled life) and had a walk in the garden talking with your eldest son or daughter about handling his/her marriage or the family business; you are looking at the headlines of the newspaper having your breakfast wondering whether to travel Frankfurt to deliver a speech at a business summit or to Tokyo to address your staffs or to calabar in Nigeria for a week-long holiday or stay back to read bedtime stories to your grandson that night; you then quickly call your personal assistant ask for any scheduled appointments. Then you remember that you are partnering with some organizations who is making the world a better place. Is that not a good life, I could go on and on, but you might think this is a fictional and unrealistic fantasy; however this is the life we are wired to live. But some of us the way your life is going now, by age 60 you will still be trying to beat traffic so you can make it on time to office so there will be no query on your table for coming late or so that your business will not suffer a big loss because you had to wait on the line for your turn at the gas station; and after work you had to rush home to ensure you make dinner for your two kids and put an eye on them as they do their school work because your wife has divorced you or your husband had walked away and you forgot you needed to see your doctor at the general hospital because of your back pain; which will definitely revisit whenever you bend down or the thinks of bending down, there is already a box of tissue beside your over-ten-year old mattress which you use to wipe tears and in the morning you tell yourself to the hearing of your kids that its God’s plan for my life, that it’s your destiny! And your kids look at you with nostalgia and you smile at them as fake hope springs out of your dimples and you think their minds are blank, you don’t know they hate their life already.

Yes it’s crazy, but it’s as a result of a little sleep, a little folding of the hands to sleep, finding excuses whether legit or not to sleep or rest as it is called when you should be earning or learning; its starts with being excuse driven, giving excuse for every mistake and failure, its starts with procrastinating and idleness some time in your prime age; the funny thing here is that it’s a cycle, before you die you must complete the cycle or be in one phase of the cycle; so if you spend your time to yearn now when you are  supposed to learn or earn, you will surely need to earn at the time for yearning. Laziness is bad, it cannot be over-emphasized, it can’t, but then let’s not forget we are wired to work and have pleasure; but then there is a way it should go.

However laziness can be sponsored by aliens (demons), it can also be a value system and thought process; it can be a chain, a yoke which is strong and stubborn; however this issue is not intended to mock you or make it worse or hopeless, if you find yourself under this category, it doesn’t matter what the cause is, whether it is by demon or chain or habit; whatsoever is the case there is a fixer, this guy fixes this kind of stuff, but first you need to create an account with him which is simple and very free, after then you need to apply for fixing! If this is your case then the next paragraph is for you.

SPEED: Today, Tomorrow & Days After

There are quite a number of reasons why people/ church folks don't receive from God.A question was once asked, (can I give you a gift and you don't get to receive it?), if your answer is yes, which is true, that means that many times God blesses us but we don't get to receive the blessing. now its not his fault that we don't receive. its the fact that we have a number of adversaries that prevent us from receiving. these factors range from spiritual to character to mindsets and sheer ignorance.

God is interested in me, you and us making progress. many times we try but we don't get to receive from God, we starts complaining, we have so much hope and expectations, we go to church the pastor motivates us, when we enter the week with so much hope, we meet Limitations that prevents us from getting our desire, we start becoming frustrated, which leads to almost giving up; here comes Sunday, we dress our best, put on a toothpaste smile and get motivated again by the end of the church service and the cycle continues. truth is you cant continue doing the same thing and expect a different result. now to break out of this cycle, enjoy a good life and maximize the blessing of God, we need to start doing somethings differently, applying some principles and experiencing speed in our life today, tomorrow and days after.

fore-mostly, Ernest and fervent prayers consistently, daily and regularly; this kind of prayers must involve speaking in tongues till you start groaning; (note there is no short-cut to prayers, you must speak in tongues, you don't have to understand the tongues you are speaking; read the book of Acts of the Apostles, Romans and Hebrews in the Holy Bible to confirm this points) this kind of prayer can be referred to or code-named Auto Intercession (Romans 8vs26). the thoughts of God for us are nothing but Awesome, Wonderful and Good and its aimed or geared towards giving us an expected end. (Jeremiah 29 vs 11); but if you read the next verse after this; its says to access this good you MUST pray and seek the face of God. I dont want to over flock this issue, you must pray fervently and daily.

after the praying you must Labor in the WORD of GOD. this principle have been over-stressed over time. in life due to the various cycles we have found ourselves, we have a thought pattern, our minds are re-set to think in a particular way; this can also be referred to as a Negative Program that the devil has written in our mind. (Joyce argued that the battlefield is the mind), if that's true, then we need to be careful what we allow into our mind, so that we don't shoot ourselves on the foot and loose the battles by allowing stuff into our minds that will betray us. in order to erase this program the devil has written in our minds through life situation and events, we must STAY in the WORD of GOD. the word of God has the capacity to erase doubts and put faith in your hearts which is needed to make answerable, effective and fervent prayers. Hebrew 4vs1-2; Roamns 4 vs 17, Deut 11 vs 10-21, Hebrew 4vs3, 4; the long and short is that we must labor in the word of God. we must get to a point where we think about it, talk about it, write it on our walls and gist about it.

after laboring in the word consistently and daily, we must get and put our faith into work. God does not meet you inside and give you the increase you must work; so after praying and studying the word of God, you must go out and work. that is when God can bless you (#the works of your Hand).you must combine your faith (word + prayers) with work; the bible in proverbs said have you seen a man diligent in his service, he would not stand before mean man, but before kings and princes. he that deals with a slack hand shall come to poverty).

after the days work before the next day ensure you PRAISE God. for the anticipated blessing, increase, prosperity, blessing and GOOD life. this is the final principle that when applied after the others above in whatsoever pattern you want or convenient for you, not long, in a short while, very short while you will experience SPEED in your Life. its not a prayer point, its a promise to you! am sure you want to upgrade from where you are now to a higher place. (please if you are satisfied with the level you are in life now, this is not FOR YOU, just tell sombody about it or share it some one else. thank you!

My XP sofar rocks...

Today I examine myself, am a year older, Nigeria is a year older, I look at my past, I look at Nigeria, I consider my present, I see the future. However I want to use this opportunity to hail someone I have deep respect for; without fear or favor to anyone, I urge you guys to give a hand for Ekanem Uwara
Everyone has a virtue, everyone have strengths and weakness, everyone has expectations; so you can say all you want (after all its a natural right); amongst all she was (is ) exemplary as she displayed a high level of #PATIENCE. truth is I don't know if I can ever attain that level of patience. she is the S.I unit of #EmotionalIntelligence. today I celebrate her and that virtue in her. she is a Leader! you think am crazy, step into her shoes for 1hour, you will know that Calabar is a big town.

I look at the Seat, Shoes, Robe, Rod and Staff that was handed over to me in good faith; I weep so much for the bearer of them now. Moreover I have no regrets; I ran the race, I finished, I won laurels, I made mistakes, I learn from them; I made friends, enemies, well-wishers, lovers, all etc. am still in the game and am making progress.

(it made me a better person). truth is you don't know how much your appreciation and words of encouragement helped me. I remember when i was a "Pain in the ass" one day #MybrotherRahim told me "sometimes I hate you, I don't want to see you, some other time I like to have you around me and work with you" #KehindeIbeyiyi once told me "your brain is powerful, am amazed the way your brain works, but you need to work on your attitude" I remember when #Bonaventure was making a speech and he said I motivated him even as a team member. I remember 2011, September to December 2011, #makurdi, BSU, them girls, them fun, our labor, our victory, #2weeksToConference. some much memories, self-less sacrifices, dangerous risk, Tears, Smiles, rains, Bottles, Long and short nights, heat, MC ultimatums, Anger, Frustrations, Unity, Support, Drive, Results. My XP so far Rocks. for those I mentioned their names, God bless you, God bless Nigeria, God bless AIESEC.    

A Letter to my PAST

Hey guy, wassup? Hope you are fine, hope you are doing good; hope am not owing you anything, am really sure we are square. I tried my best with God's help to reconcile with you properly; I know most of my friends wont, lets not be enemies, but would be best if we don't ever cross path. my future is close, I called her yesterday, she wants to meet me, she is so happy and we have this grand plan and its so beautiful, this is the main reason am writing you, if you show up? she is gonna think am gay! God forbid. and we both know that our relationship was nothing close to that, am sorry the times and the things we shared aren't my favorite, right now you really have to be far far behind me, you practically have to go the opposite direction.
you know you happened to witness the dispensation of my life where I made very wrong decisions, very hurting and regrettable actions, I even doubted God, took ownership of 95% shares of my life, even though I tried to develop myself, I made very bad to worse mistakes that I had volumes of learning to do; you remember those nights I cried and cried and the tears wont stop pouring, you see you hold a lot of memories both bad and worse and am seriously fine without them. Now I have this friend his name is present he came from God; he is going to mentor or coach me, basically he will help me be a better person, he'll help me prepare to meet my future, I told you she is close; he is helping me understand myself properly; he said when I know myself well, alot of things will fall in place; he is teaching me to always trust God and also how to activate God's principles and make it work for myself, he showed me clearly how to make use of the lessons I've learned when we were friends; he whispers to me every morning who to trust and who not to trust, what and what not to have confidence in.

I wish you the best in every of your endeavor, I basically have so much to do right now, Know & learn. Please don't write me back or try to reply. when I feel necessary I'll write to you, maybe you don't understand How bad I want you to be far from me; if you disturb me, I'll make sure I can't recognize you, if though I want to. SOME TRUTH ABOUT RELATIONSHIPS

A woman's sense of self is defined through her feelings and the quality of her relationships.when a woman offers unsolicited advice or tries to " help" a man; she has no idea of how critical and unloving she may sound to him. to offer a man unsolicited advice is to presume that he doesn't know what to do or that he can't do it on his own, men are quite touchy about this; so be careful .
