My thoughts

I don’t know who is listening right now, so that makes me feel more better; talking to you about me is something I pray I don’t regret doing! Am in love with a girl, truth is: she doesn’t believe in LOVE. It’s quite crazy, she said there is something I must do to ignite her LIKENESS for me even in a higher proportion; don’t know if am confused right now. Today I asked her if she is my friend, she was nearly angry at my question. Maybe you don’t understand me fully, maybe it’s not the right time to talk about this, and maybe we should just talk about something else;

People around me enjoy picking at me, criticizing me and always want to judge me! Seriously I had to develop a resistance in my inside, so I smile whenever it happens, I just assume the person is complementing me so I Say THANK YOU! Funny enough the very same weaknesses they complain about or are quick to point out are one of their biggest problems. Now it makes me wonder why, it gets me crazy a times, don’t really understand. I try my best to see the best in someone or something: for instance when I come in contact with something or someone for the first time, I take note of everything notable or un-noticeable but I don’t judge by my initial findings or theories. However negative or positive these findings would be, I don’t capitalize on it. Trust me its working for me and am very happy to profess that I DON’T BELIEVE IN “FIRST IMPRESSION MATTERS” am sorry but seriously you can quote me anywhere.

I personally believe that families, government, society and individuals have lost a great deal because of this notion or theory! Even someone said you cant judge a book by its cover; so why will people neglect this saying. Yes there is no time, we are in the period of SPEED, and everything you want to do you must do with seriousness and speed, so because one cant wait around to study before assessment due to the paucity of time, judgments are passed at a glance; But you can’t simply judge or make a ruling on somebody or something because of some first impression; (trust me first impressions are good in themselves, taking note of it is very vital for your assessment, but it shouldn’t be the bedrock of your case FOR/AGAINST. There is more to someone or something than some first impression. For instance you saw a guy furiously talking to somebody over the phone and you could feel the anger even from a safe distance, so you just assume this guy has anger management issues and maybe he somehow needs you approval for a job, without a fair hearing, you just rule out the guy! Seriously I don’t believe in the crap called first impression; because most times what we look out for is just the weaknesses of people and some others who are maybe conscious of themselves, put up awesome appearances which gets us all confused and carried away!

Someone once said that if we all put our problems on the table, you would ask for your own problem back; likewise if we all put our weaknesses on the table, you would thank God for your own weakness. So for the ladies (unmarried) that subscribe to first impression, how would you feel when your dream husbands comes in contact with you for the first time when you are displaying one of your weakness? Oooch! Trust me, at that point you need God to make that Guy disregard first impression ……..hahahahahahah!
